00620.40 Pavement Removal <br />(d) Pavement Removal Alternative <br />(DELETE) The sentence beginning "Longitudinal drop-offs..." <br />(ADD) Longitudinal drop-offs of more than two (2) inches require a wedge. Traffic shall <br />not be allowed to cross drop-offs of more than two (2) inches until wedges are in <br />place. At intersections, drop-offs of more than one (1) inch require a wedge. <br />Wedges shall be constructed of temporary WMAC or HMAC. Millings from cold <br />plane pavement removal shall not be used to construct these transitions. <br />00620.43 Maintenance Under Traffic <br />(ADD) Areas of Cold Plane Pavement Removal greater than 3" deep shall be paved <br />back to within 2" of finished grade within the same Work day as the cold plane <br />pavement removal. <br />00745.00 Scope <br />(ADD) Asphalt paving Work for this Contract shall use Warm Mixed Asphalt Concrete <br />except for small and irregular areas requiring handwork. HMAC may be used for <br />small or irregular areas. <br />00745.02 Definitions <br />(ADD) Warm Mixed Asphalt Concrete (WMAC) - An asphalt concrete mix complying <br />with all requirements of HMAC, except that through the use of additives or <br />processes it is mixed and placed at lower temperatures. <br />00745.90 Payment <br />Pay Item Unit of Measurement <br />(c) Level , WMAC, Ton <br />(ADD) In order to provide a means to adjust asphalt cement price, if needed, the fraction <br />of the WMAC per ton unit price which is represented by the asphalt cement in <br />mixture shall be designated on the bid schedule. Each WMAC pay item shall <br />have the cost for the fraction of the WMAC per ton unit price represented by the <br />asphalt cement in mixture designated on the bid schedule, beneath the pay item, <br />on the line identified as "Asphalt Cement in WMAC Per Ton of WMAC <br />Complete". The cost submitted by the Contractor for "Asphalt Cement in WMAC <br />Per Ton of WMAC Complete", for each WMAC pay item, will be used to calculate <br />a price adjustment, if needed, per Section 00195 of the Special Provisions. <br />Costs submitted by the Contractor for "Asphalt Cement in WMAC Per Ton Of <br />WMAC Complete", for any WMAC bid item, over Twenty-nine (29) dollars per a <br />ton will be considered unbalanced and the bid will be rejected. <br />1-k 4ArQCZ M--- -1 n <br />
