A smooth bucket may be used to remove the <br />existing concrete and asphalt surfaces required for the ramp construction. No <br />mechanical bucket or shovel excavation shall be performed below the hard <br />surface at this location. After vacuum or hand excavation is completed the <br />contractor shall not place any material until the City Arborist has made root <br />mitigation recommendations. The Engineer will notify the Contractor of the <br />Arborists decision.
