00225.41 Temporary Signing <br />(ADD) (h) City Provided and Special Signs <br />Install City Provided Special Information Signs five (5) Work days prior to <br />commencement of any other Contract Work, with the exception of placement of <br />erosion control or tree preservation measures. <br />Locations of City Provided Special Information Signs are not shown on project <br />plans and shall be located at the direction of the Engineer. Signs shall be picked <br />up and returned to the City of Eugene Public Works Maintenance at 1820 <br />Roosevelt Blvd, Eugene. The City will provide the sign only; the City will not <br />provide posts or other supports, hardware, or any other appurtenant items or <br />associated Work. <br />00225.43 Temporary Traffic Delineation <br />(g) Temporary Striping <br />(ADD) Temporary striping shall include all existing pavement striping and markings, <br />excluding bike lane stripes, bike markings, and delineation of parking spaces. <br />(ADD) For cold plane surfaces, temporary striping shall be painted, use of reflective <br />flexible overlay pavement markers will not be allowed. <br />00225.46 (b) Portable Changeable Message Signs (PCMS) <br />(ADD) One PCMS shall be installed east of the 1-5 overpass and one PCMS shall be <br />installed in each direction of the work zone on Coburg Road, with the exact <br />locations to be identified by the Engineer. PCMS installation setup shall be in <br />accordance with the latest version of the "Oregon Temporary Traffic Control <br />Handbook". <br />Install PCMS five (5) Work days prior to commencement of any other Contract <br />Work, with the exception of placement of erosion control or tree preservation <br />measures.. PCMS shall run continuously 24 hours a day for the duration of work <br />or as directed. Messages will be provided by the Engineer. Messages shall be <br />changed as directed. <br />00225.90 (b) Method "B"- Lump Sum Basis - <br />(DELETE) Entire paragraph. <br />(ADD) Payment for the item "Temporary Work Zone Traffic Control, Complete" will be <br />made at the Contract lump sum amount and will be for furnishing, installing, <br />moving, operating, maintaining, inspecting, and removing materials and TCD <br />(excluding temporary striping and City Provided Special Information signs), and <br />for furnishing all equipment, labor, and incidentals necessary to complete the <br />Work as specified. <br />Special Provisions Job #4586 Page 5 <br />
