The Baseline/Reconnaissance Report is a scoping report, not a <br />technical report, and will be used to help design construction alternatives and determine the <br />extent of a Phase 1 Technical Survey and Report, if requested by Agency. <br />The Baseline/Reconnaissance Report required under this task shall include a description of the <br />area of potential impact (API), a detailed project description, detailed historical context and <br />ethno-historical information, methodology, recommendations for future work, a summary, <br />detailed bibliography, maps, and photos. Please refer to the archaeology guidelines available on. <br />the Agency FTP site. <br />Minor Transportation Projects, as defined in Agency's Programmatic Agreement with SHPO (see <br />Task 3,1), are excluded under Task 2. If a site is located within the API and Agency is unable to <br />avoid the area, then further examination will be necessary through Phase 1 survey, sub-surface <br />probing, and possibly Phase 2 Archaeological testing. <br />Archaeology Scope of Work -GJN 4657 & 4664 <br />
