Sediment Barriers <br /> Inlet protection shall be installed prior to any construction Work beginning and maintained <br /> during the entire project, as noted on the CSMP. <br /> • Sediment Removal <br /> The Contractor shall, 14 calendar days before construction begins, notify the Engineer of the <br /> <br /> ' existence of any sedimentation /debris within the sump of the existing stormwater facilities <br /> shown on the CSMP to be protected. Before the beginning of construction, the engineer will <br /> coordinate with city staff for the removal of all sedimentation /debris from these stormwater <br /> facilities. On privately engineered public improvement projects, the Contractor shall notify the <br /> project inspector. The inspector will coordinate with City staff for the removal of all <br /> sedimentation /debris from these stormwater facilities. If notification is not received within the <br /> designated time period, the contractor shall be responsible for the removal of all sedimentation / <br /> debris from these stormwater facilities before construction can begin. <br /> (1) These. existing stormwater facilities shall be monitored during the contractor's construction <br /> activities. The Contractor shall, when directed by the Engineer, remove any sedimentation / ' <br /> debris, associated with their construction activities, that has been allowed to enter these existing <br /> stormwater facilities. <br /> (2)The Contractor shall remove any sedimentation /debris, associated with their construction <br /> activities, that has accumulated in the sump, and lines of newly constructed stormwater facilities <br /> connected to the City's stormwater system, by the end of the Work day if construction is <br /> occurring during the wet season Work period (October 15 - Apri130) or when directed by the <br /> engineer. <br /> Saw Cutting Slurry . <br /> All waste generated from saw cutting shall be vacuumed immediately behind the saw cutting <br /> . operation, and disposed of as approved by the engineer. <br /> Additional Best Management Practices <br /> 1. Sweep all streets in Work area nightly after Working in area. <br /> 2. Patch all street cuts nightly. <br /> 3. Construction debris and garbage will be disposed of properly at the end of every Work <br /> day. <br /> 4. Concrete Work will occur izl a manner such that no concrete is allowed to enter the city . <br /> storm system, or natural resources.
