General Practices to Meet Outcomes: <br /> <br /> . A Construction Site Management Plan (CSMP) will be prepared for all projects and provided by <br /> the Engineer or Project Manager. Typically, separate CSMP sheets will not be provided. In lieu <br /> of separate CSMP sheets required BMPs will be noted on the project plans. The Contractor shall <br /> review the CSMP giving consideration of methods used to complete the contract Work, and - " <br /> . potential effects on erosion sediment control. Certain elements in the CSMP maybe indicated as <br /> information to be provided by the Contractor. <br /> When necessary the contractor shall submit a copy of the amended CSMP including the <br /> information required through conditions of the Erosion Prevention permit if required, and any <br /> additional changes to this plan deemed necessary to meet the outcomes in the Work. This <br /> information shall be submitted to the Engineer for review ten (10) days prior to begiruiing~Work. <br /> Approval of changes or provision of the original plan by the Engineer does not guarantee <br /> compliance with the outcomes. The Contractor is responsible for meeting the outcomes provided <br /> in section 225.1.04 and in City regulations. <br /> Responsible Party. The contractor is the responsible party as defined in the ordinance and rules <br /> for the Erosion Prevention and Construction Site Management program. As responsible party, <br /> the contractor shall meet~the outcomes in sections 225.1.04, and shall bear all consequences of <br /> violation of this Standard Specification and City Regulations for Erosion Prevention and <br /> Construction Site Management. . <br /> The erosion BMP' S shall be inspected daily and maintained as necessary to ensure their <br /> 'continued functioning, in meeting the outcomes of the erosion program. The erosion BMP'S <br /> shall not allow soils, or construction related material to enter the storm system. , <br /> The CSMP facilities shown on the plans will be considered the minimum guidelines for the <br /> anticipated site conditions. The contractor shall upgrade the CSMP facilities or install additional <br /> measures as needed or as directed by the engineer during the construction period for unexpected <br /> storm events or for other reasons to ensure that sediment laden water does not leave the <br /> construction site and all outcomes are. met, at no additional .cost to the city. <br /> A supply of materials necessary to meet the outcomes and implement the construction site <br /> management plan or other best management erosion practices under all weather conditions shall <br /> be maintained at all times on the construction site. <br /> No hazardous substances, such as paints, thinners, fuels and other chemicals shall be released <br /> onto the site, adjacent properties, or into water features, the City's stormwater system, or related <br /> natural resources. <br /> No discharge into the City's stormwater system or related natural resources of construction <br /> related contaminants resulting from activities such as, but not limited to, concrete sawing, <br /> cleaning or washing of equipment, tools, or vehicles, shall occur. . <br /> Special Provisions -Job #4624 Page 13 of 15 <br /> <br />
