00642.05 Definitions: <br /> Lot Size - A lot is the total quantity. of material or work produced per MD per project. The <br /> following circumstances will require a different Lot: <br /> • Portland Cement Stabilizing Agent is changed by 0.5 percent or more. . <br /> • Previous treated FDR material. must be re-pulverized and re-treated with Portland <br /> Cement Stabilizing Agent when required compaction is not achieve within 3 hours of the <br /> originaltreatment. <br /> Materials <br /> 00642.10 Materials: <br /> a) Pulverized Material -The reclaimed paving material shall conform to the following <br /> gradation. The gradation may be revised with the approval of the Engineer, but the top. <br /> size of the material shall not exceed 25% of the depth of the compacted recycled mat. <br /> Sieve Size % Passing <br /> *3 inch 100 <br /> 1 'h inch 95 -100 <br /> 1 .inch 90 -100 <br /> #4 55 - 75 <br /> *For Cross Street max aggregate size of existing aggregate will be allowed. <br /> b) Portland Cement Stabilizing Agents -Portland Cement stabilizing agent is required <br /> by•the mix design. The Portland Cement may be from any locally available commercial <br /> source meeting the following criteria. <br /> • Portland cement shall be ASTM Type I or 2 conforming to the requirements. of <br /> . Section 02010. <br /> • The, Portland. Cement stabilizing agent shall be added in slurry form. <br /> c) Water -Water used in mixing or curing shall conform to the requirements of Section <br /> 02020. <br /> 00642.12 Mix Design -The mix design establishes the depth of milling, the amount of added <br /> materials, the amount of stabilizing agent incorporated into the milled material and the design <br /> maximum dry density and optimum moisture content. The mix design is an approximation of the <br /> conditions that may be found on the project site and adjustments may, at the direction of the <br /> Engineer, be required as the existing conditions change. <br /> The Mix Design for Riverview Street and Floral Hill Dr. shall be as follows: <br /> • Depth: 8 inches <br /> • Materials: Existing HMAC or oil mat (Average 2 to 5 inches), Base Aggregate (Average 5 <br /> inches), no additional materials added. <br /> • Cement Content: 5.0% 0.50%. <br /> • Maximum Dry Density: 107.0 pcf at 14.9% moisture, AASHTO T99, Method D corrected <br /> for oversize per AASHTO T224. <br /> <br /> .
