street lighting. <br />3. Auplication Review. A privately engineered public improvement permit application <br />that includes public street lights shall be reviewed as provided in this section. <br />3.1 Upon completion of an initial review of the Engineering and Construction <br />Agreement and the street light location plans, City staffshall provide the applicant with initial <br />comments as to the application's compliance with Section D of this rule. <br />3.2 Upon receipt of the City's initial comments and revision of the location plans, <br />as needed, the applicant shall`provide the street lighting plans to affected utility companies <br />(telephone, gas, electric, water and television) for verification that there are no conflicts with <br />other existing and proposed utilities. <br />3.3 Prior to construction plan approval, the applicant shall submit utility <br />concurrences with the construction plans for the street lights. Utility concurrences shall <br />provide written verification from affected utility companies that the street lighting plans have <br />been reviewed and that no conflicts with their respective utilities are anticipated. City staff <br />shall review the plans and provide the applicant with comments based on the application's <br />compliance with section D of this Rule. The applicant shall finalize the drawings and <br />thereafter submit prints signed by a professional engineer for City approval. <br />4. Auproval of Street Light Design. When the applicant has submitted all of the <br />'~ required application materials as provided in R-7.085/SIrC-2 and 3, City staff shall review the <br />application materials for compliance with the standards at R 7.085/SIrD. If the application complies <br />with all of those standards, the City will approve it by stamping the plans "Approved for <br />Construction" and by signing the plans. If the application does not comply with the standards, City <br />staff shall so notify the applicant by certified mail, return receipt requested, or delivered personally, <br />and shall advise the applicant of the right to appeal the decision as provided in R 7.805/SUE. <br />5. Construction Permit for Street Light Design. A construction permit wdl be issued <br />for street lights when the applicant has provided: <br />5.1 Nine (9) sets of approved street lighting plans, prepared in AutoCad digital <br />format (.dwg) or universal digital format (.dxf), with City title blocks, quarter section <br />numbers, project numbers, and north arrow; and, <br />5.2 The name of the applicant's contractor, the contractor's schedule, the <br />engineer's cost estimate or a copy of the actual contract with the contractor; and, <br />5.3 Proof that the applicant has met IES recommendations and the standards as <br />specified in the current edition of the City's Standard Specifications and Drawings Manual <br />for construction as adopted and amended by City Engineer memorandum; and, <br />5.4 An approved description sheet (blue/green cut sheet) for all <br />Administrative Order - 3 <br />C:\TEMP\03stlightZao.wpd(07/30/03) <br />
