Illuminating Engineering Society of North America. <br />R Z.085~SL B Purpose. <br />This Rule is intended to provide procedures and requirements for implementing the street <br />lighting design standards set out in the Design Standards and Guidelines for Eugene Streets, <br />Sidewalks, B~eways and Access Ways adopted by City Council Resolution No. 4608. Street lights <br />may be permitted as part of a public improvement permit authorizing numerous public improvements <br />or by a stand-alone permit. In either case, the provisions of this Rule shall apply. <br />R-7.085/SL-C Application and Permit Process. <br />1. Pre-A,~plieation. An applicant for a privately engineered public improvement permit <br />that includes street lights shall, prior to submission of the application, and prior to commencement <br />of design activities, meet with City staffto review the street lighting standards and other requirements <br />contained in this rule and the Code. <br />2. Application. <br />2.1 Submittal. Public improvement permit applications shall be submitted to the <br />City at 858 Pearl Street, Eugene, Oregon, and shall be signed by the applicant. If the <br />applicant is not the owner of the property proposed for development, the application shall <br />also be signed by the owner of the property. <br />2.2 Initial Application Materials. If an application for aprivately engineeredpublic <br />improvement permit includes street lights, the application shall include: <br />2.2.1 An Engineering apd Construction Agreement for the street <br />improvements and street lights that conforms to the requirements of the current <br />edition of the City's Standard Specifications and: Drawings Manual for construction <br />as adopted and amended by City Engineer memorandum, and the requirements of this <br />Rule; and, <br />2.2.2 Two sets of street light location plans.
