Section 3 <br />Airport catchment area, activity, and use <br />Enplanement activity comparison <br />Exhibit 3.3 compares the historic enplanement trend at Eugene Airport to the domestic enplanement <br />trend at Portland International Airport (excluding connecting passengers). From 1995 through 2004, <br />Eugene Airport experienced essentially no overall change over the 10-year period. Although Eugene <br />Airport's enplanements have been trending downward from 2000 through 2003, they increased 16.8 <br />percent from 2003 to 2004. Conversely, Portland International Airport experienced a compounded annual <br />growth rate in domestic enplanements of 1.7 percent (calendar year 2004 estimated). Domestic <br />enplanements at Portland International Airport peaked in 2000 at 5,320,650 and fell to a low of 4,825,200 <br />(9.3 percent loss) in 2002.
