Water Production Additions & Improvements -Project No. 14270 Capital projects for Water Production Additions and Improvements are derived from both the Water Supply. Plan and Facilities Planning efforts. The Water Supply Plan promulgated the Hayden Bridge Expansion Study, which was completed Summer of 1999. The expansion study recommendations and costs are included in the Supply Plan Section of the CIP. In conjunction with the Hayden Bridge Expansion Plan, EWEB also conducted a seismic study of the existing plant to evaluate the structural integrity of the plant. Occasionally, existing under drain plates will break, causing filter media to be displaced. Other filter beds were rebuilt in the late 1970s. The rebuilds consist of removing old filter media and under drains, repainting the walls, constructing and installing efficient under drain-systems, and replacing the media.
