New Construction
City View 1150 Reservoir -Design and Construction
Design and construction of a one million-gallon reservoir in the Southwest Eugene hills is essential [o provide
reliability and fire storage in that azea. Currently, service is provided through three continuous running pump
stations. This reservoir will be located in the SummifTerrace Subdivision and will be elevated to obtain the
1150 overflow elevation.
Land Acquisition Not included SDC Funded .$1,580,000
Engineering $ 140,000 Rate Funded Capital $ 0
EWEB Labor $ 24,300
Piping & Construction $1,324,000
Administration 91 700
Total Cost $1,580,000
Laurel Hill 850 Reservoir Construction
Laurel Hill 850 Reservoir is a one million-gallon reservoir that will serve the existing Moon Mountain and
Laurel Hill area and future East Ridge developments. This area is currently being served through the
Fairmount 850 Reservoir and the Laurel Hi11850 Pump Station. The Fairmount 850 Reservoir's service area is
extremely lazge and demands have exceeded EWEB's storage criteria. Hydraulic challenges also hinder the
delivery of water to certain azeas.
Land Acquisition Not included SDC Funded $495,000
Engineering $ 90,000 Rate Funded Capital $495,000
EWEB Labor $ 20,000
Piping & Construction $810,000
Administration 60 000
Total Cost $990,000
Shasta 11 SO Reservoir
Currently, the Shasta 1150 service level is being served via a continuous running pump station. Summer
demands are approaching 700 gpm, which is tripping off fire pumps in order to meet demand. There is also a
reliability issue when the Shasta 1150 Pump Station is out of electricity; numerous homes are left without water
service. No land has been identified for this reservoir. However, there is reconnaissance being conducted.
Because of land acquisition issues, this project is stated to occur in 2006-2007. -
Land Acquisition
Engineering
EWEB Labor
Piping & Construction
Administration
Total Cost
Not included
90,000
$ 30,000
$810,000
60 000
$990,000
SDC Funded $495,000
Rate Funded Capital $495,000
Crest 800 No. 2 Reservoir -Design & Construction
The Crest 800, College Hilt 703, City View 800, and Timberline 800 service areas will be interconnected in the
future. Buitd out population in this area will require an additiona1700,000 gallon reservoir. This reservoir will
be constructed adjacent to the existing Crest 800 Reservoir. This will also enable the transfer of the College
Hill 703 system to the College Crest 800 system and the eventual decommissioning of the College Hi11703
Pump Station and elevated tank.
Water Division -Five-Year Capital Improvement Plan
19
