Water Reservoir Improvements and Additions -Project No. 14017
EWEB has twenty-five covered reservoirs that account for approximately 77 million gallons of
water storage within the City.
The City of Eugene experienced a 22% population growth in the 1990s. Increased development
in the south hills area has placed additional demand on existing reservoirs and necessitates the
need for more storage in the south hills for near-future development. EWEB .also has some
aging facilities that are in need of upgrades and improvements.
RESERVOIRS 2003 2004 2nns 2nn~ 2nn~ ~nnz_n~ ~nnQ ,~
New Construction
City View 1150
Desi n & Const. $1,5.80,000 $1,580,000
Laurel Hi11850
Desi n & Const. $90,000 $900,000 $990,000
Shasta 1150
Desi n & Const. $90,000 $900,000 $990,000
Crest 800 #2 Design
& Const. $840,000
Willamette 1325
Desi n & Const. $653,000
Timberline 800
Desi n & Const. $605,000

Im rovements
City View/Crest 975
Re airs $135,000 $135,000
Hawkins 607 Roof
Repair & Seismic
Retrofit $25,000 $235,000 $260,000
Hawkins 607
Inlet/Outlet $25,000 $225,000 $250,000
College Hill Structural
Im rovements $500,000
College Hill
Inlet/Outlet $25,000 $225,000 $250,000
Santa Clara Security
Im rovements $61,525 $61,525

Total $1,641,525 $300,000 $1,135,000 $540,000 $900,000 $4,516,525 $2,598,000

Water Division -Five-Year Capital Improvement Plan
18
