recommendations and prioritizations. Reductions that have been achieved in Eugene generally
exceed cited experience from agencies in other Cities and States. However, comparisons are
tenuous and must consider differences in extent, objectives, and quality of rehabilitation
practices.
Based on the results of this analysis, it is reasonable to conclude that the City of Eugene's
rehabilitation program has been successful and in most cases equals or exceeds the
WWFMP's RDII removal estimates. The estimate was presented in Figure 5-10 of the
WWFMP report as a graph with rehabilitation as a percentage of total pipe on the X-axis and
percent reduction in RDII volume on the Y-axis. Table ES-2 includes the excerpt from Figure
5-10 in the WWFMP report along with results achieved based on the current analysis.
Table ES-2
Event RDII Volume vs. Rainfall Achieved Compared to WWFMP Predictions
(Excerpts from Figure 5-10 in the WWFMP)
Percent of Total Pipe WWFMP Estimated Achieved
Rehabilitated RDII Volume (%)
(%) Reduction Public Only
System*
(%)
Sub-basin 84 49 26
DA-21
Sub-basin 64 44 43
DA-22
Sub-basin 91 50 71
DA-23
Sub-basin 56 42 59
DA-24
* Public Only System Rehabilitation recommended by WWFMP
5
