• Operates computer-controlled system for 186 traffic signals <br />• Operates/maintains 225 traffic signals and 8,449 street lights and misc. school flashers and <br />permanent traffic count stations <br />' Upgrades traffic signals to electrical code requirements <br />• Administers the Graffiti removal program -including documentation and removal of graffiti <br />on public and private property <br />• Inspects all new traffic signals and street lights <br />• 13 FTE are assigned to this work unit <br />TRAFFIC TECHNICAL TEAM <br />• Administers permits and inspects right of way work activities of municipal, franchised and <br />licensed utility providers <br />• Coordinates and responds to facility locates requests submitted through the Stat One-Call <br />system <br />• Researches, analyzes, and responds to citizen requests for new traffic control devices and <br />modification or changes to existing traffic control devices <br />• Collects and analyzes traffic data for signal ops and PW E Transportation Planning <br />• Designs and creates special need traffic signage <br />• Collects and analyzes traffic crash data obtained from EPD and ODOT <br />• Reviews and comments on PEPI and public project designs for appropriate use and <br />placement of traffic control devices <br />• Provides street striping and traffic control devices designs and layout <br />• Inspects and approves traffic control devices installation in conjunction with new <br />developments and capitol projects <br />• Review and permits temporary traffic control plans for work activities within the right-of-ways <br />• 8FTE are assigned to this work unit (4 FTE plus 1 temporary currently located in Bldg. 2) <br />PARKS AND OPEN SPACE DIVISION <br />ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT: <br />Administration is a single unit which provides the administration support functions for Parks and <br />Open Space. <br />•i Provides administration support to all operations <br />• Manages payroll functions <br />• Oversees personnel records <br />i Provides data entry <br />• Handles purchasing functions and billing activities <br />• Prepares and administers budget <br />• Provides clerical support <br />• 8.5 FTE are assigned to this work unit (7 funded by PWM, 2 funded by POS) <br />NATURAL RESOURCES: <br />Natural Resources include three work units for maintaining, enforcing, administering and <br />providing the technical support for all the parks natural resource areas.
