i~OARD OF COMMISSIONERS 1/3/01 am <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS' <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />January 3, 2001 <br />following HACSA <br />Harris Hall Main Floor <br /> <br />Commissioner Anna Morrison presided with Commissioners Bill Dwyer, Bobby <br />Green, Sr., Peter Sorenson and Cindy Weeldreyer present. County Administrator <br />Bill Van Vactor, County Counsel Teresa Wilson and Recording Secretary Melissa <br />Zimmer were also present. <br />1. ADJUSTMENTS TO THE AGENDA <br />None. <br />2. PUBLIC COMMENTS. <br />Mike .Huff, 04939 S. Loftus Road, represented the Ada Grange Hall in <br />Florence as well as a resident of S. Loftus Road. He said the County was <br />no longer maintaining their road and it is considered a local access road. <br />He noted that the Ada Grange had passed a resolution asking the <br />commissioners to review it. (Copy in file). <br />Morrison noted that Public Works did address the situation. She said in the <br />;- early 90's the Board took action on the road, but it was never to have been <br />paved. She said it would be given to Public Works. <br />Huff said there was no explanation mailed to the residents. <br />Ollie Snowden, Public Works, recalled that S. Loftus Road was an access <br />road and in the late 80's, they maintained several access roads in the <br />Florence area. He said they stopped maintenance and S. Loftus Road was <br />one of them. He said they couldn't go back to maintain the road without an <br />order from the board or an order taking that road into the County road <br />system. <br />3. EXECUTIVE_SESSION as_pe_r ORS 192,660 <br />Held earlier in the day. <br />4. COMMISSIONERS' BUSINESS <br />Sorenson thanked the Board for the nice gifts.
