FINAL 2008-2011 STATEWIDE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br />Discussions: <br />• Discussion on the Winchester Interchange project was around its future operation, project <br />design details yet to be worked out, and access to the Winchester area south of the river be- <br />cause of the repairs and widening of the Old Winchester bridge over the river. Discussion <br />was also held in regards to the new signal at Rolling Hills Road on OR 42. Questions related <br />to road and access closures conditioned as part of the project were made. This project is <br />identified as one being done by Douglas County. Some questions came up in regards to the <br />Weaver Road county bridge project currently underway. Suggestions were made to stage <br />some of our improvements better to improve traffic flow around them. <br />NORTH BEND, November 16, 2006 <br />4 attendees <br />General Comments: <br />• Two citizens expressed their gratitude to ODOT for the public participation process in the <br />Isthmus Slough EA project in the Bunkerhill area of Coos Bay. Interest was expressed in the <br />County Line Curves and in the McCullough Bridge cathodic protection project. <br />Discussions• <br />• Most discussion focused on the need to replace the Isthmus Slough Bridge. Attendees felt <br />that this was a very high priority for the area.
