The high percentage of at-fault accidents <br />continues to be an area of concern. In FY07, <br />ao°~ ~ - at-fault accidents in Fire, Public Works, Police, <br />and Central Services accounted for 37 of the 43 <br />reported at-fault incidents. Risk Services will <br />20°~ ~ - continue to work with these departments to try to <br />reverse this trend and reduce the number of <br />o°r° - ~ at-fault accidents currently being incurred. <br />FY03 FY04 FY05 FY06 FY07 <br />In order to reduce vehicle accidents and potential <br />claims against the City, and in a proactive <br />approach to employee safety, Risk Services reviews all driving records prior to <br />the hiring of new employees. If a prospective employee meets the City's <br />driving standards and is hired, they are entered into an auto flag system with <br />the State of Oregon.
