SECTION .VIII GROUND RULES <br />1, Air craft engi nes shall be run-up only in trc places designated} <br />When engines are handcranked, a competent operator shall be at <br />the controls and the wheels shall be chocked, <br />2. No aircraft engine shall be operated unless a licensed pilot or <br />mechanic be at the controls. Blocks equipped with ropes or other <br />suitable means of blocking the air craft shall always be placed in <br />front of the main landing wheels befar~e starting the, airplane., un- <br />lsas it is equipped with adequate locking brakes. <br />3. Aircraft shall be paxked only in areas and in the manner designa- <br />ted by the Airport Manager, and shall be subject to parking fees. <br />?~. All aircraft repairs, except emergency, shall be made in the <br />designated spaces. <br />5. Aircraft shall be properly secured by the owner or operator of the <br />aircraft when parked on the airport. Owners of such aircraft shall <br />beheld responsible for any damage resulting from failure to com- <br />ply with this rule. <br />6. Participants in accidents shall make a full report to the Airport <br />Management as soon after the accident as possible. <br />SECTION IX LANDING AND TAKE-OFF RULES. <br />1. Landings and take -offs shall be made on the runway assigned9 and <br />in the direction given by the control tower, Unless otherwise <br />authorized by the airport traffic control tower, the traffic pattern <br />at the airport shall be standard (left hand or counterclock- <br />wise), <br />2. During and after takeoff,, the pilot of an aircraft shall guard the <br />airport cor~~~ol tower frequency until the aircraft has departed <br />from the control zone .or until released by the control tower. <br />SECTION X DISABLED AIRCRAFT <br />1. Aircraft owners, pilots, or the agents shall be responsible for the <br />prompt disposal of disabled aircraft and parts, unless required or <br />directed to delay such action pending an irnrestigation of an acci- <br />dent, <br />2. If any person refuses to move an aircraft when directed by the Air- <br />port Manager, said aircraft may be towed at the .owner or operators <br />expense' and without liability (to the City) for damage which may <br />result in such moving. <br />-7- <br />
