SECTION XI PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM <br />All persons using the public address system shall conform to the rules <br />set forth in the current Air Traffic Conference In America Trade Con- <br />' ference manual adopted by the Airlines Public Address Committee. <br />'SECTION XII FIRE REGULATIONS. <br />1. OPEN FLAME OPERATIONS; No person shall conduct any open flame <br />operations on the airport unless authorized by the Airport Man- <br />agement. <br />2. STORAGE: No person shall store or stock material or equipment <br />which constitutes afire hazard as judged by regular fire in- <br />spection. <br />3. CARE OF WASTE: Lessees shall provide underwriter approved metal <br />receptacles with self-closing covers for the storage of oily <br />wastes, rags, and other rubbish. All such waste shall be re- r <br />moved by the lessees daily. <br />!~, FLOOR CARE: All lessees on the airport shall keep the floors bf the <br />hangars and adjacent areas free and clear of all oil, grease and <br />other flammable material, <br />5. CLEANING FI:UIDS: No person shall use volatile flammable 7,iquids <br />in the cleaning of aircraft, aircraft engines, propellers, and <br />appliances, unless such cleaning operations are conducted in open <br />air, or in a room specifically constructed, which shall be prop- <br />erly ventilated, fireproofed, and equipped with. adequate and <br />readily accessible fire extinguishing apparatus. <br />6, PAINTING AND OTHER PROCESSE5~ Painting and "doping" of~aircraft <br />shall be conducted only in designated areas which shall conform <br />to local laws, underwriter's standards and field regulation, and <br />shall be conducted only in properly designed-fire proofed and <br />ventilated rooms or buildings in which all illumination9 wiring <br />heating ventilation equipment, switches, outlets, and fixtures <br />shall be spark proof and vapor proof. <br />7. FIRE APPARATUSs All tenants and~or lessees of hangars or shop <br />facilities shall supply and maintain adequate and readily access- <br />ible fire extinguisher9 as approved by fire underwriters for the <br />particular hazard as maybe deemed necessary by the Airport Man- <br />agement. <br />8. .CABINETS OR OTHER CONTAINERS: All cabinets or other containers <br />used for storing mechanics work clothing, wipiryg rags and other <br />materials of a spontaneous combustible nature shall be constructed <br />of metal and meet with requirements set forth by the National <br />Board of Fire Underwriters. <br />-8- <br />
