~. ', <br />7.7 Fu11 Time Flight Instruction. <br />7.7.1 Required Lot Size. The leasehold shall contain suffi- <br />cient tie-down and/or hangar space to accommodate the projected <br />inventory of aircraft. <br />7.7.2 Required Building Size. The operator must have a <br />minimum of 250 square feet of properly lighted and heated floor space on <br />the Airport property to provide for a combination classroom/ <br />briefing room, office space, public use area and•restrooms. The <br />operator. may satisfy the obligation to provide restrooms and lobby space <br />by sharing lobby space and restrooms with another operator in the same <br />building. <br />7.7.3 Required Personnel. The operator shall employ at <br />least one full-time certified Flight Instr!actor, with appropriate_ <br />ratings to cover the type of training offered. <br />7.7.4 Equipment Requirements. The operator shall own or <br />have under written lease at least two properly certified aircraft <br />equipped for flight instruction. One aircraft shall be fully equipped <br />for instrument flight instruction. <br />7.7.5 Hours of Operation. .The minimum operating hours of the <br />facility where instruction is offered shall be 8:.00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., <br />five days a week, excluding holidays. <br />7.8 .Independent Flight Instruction. Independent fright instructors <br />will be permitted to provide aircraft flight instruction at times of their <br />choosing without meeting the requirements of 7.7 above, providing the person <br />provides the Airport Manager with the following documents: <br />7.8.1 .Proof of proper and current licenses certified by the <br />FAA, with appropriate ratings to cover the type of training offered; . <br />7.8.2 Writ en assurance, in a form acceptable to the City, that <br />adequate public liability and property damage insurance is provided in <br />such amounts as to protect the City and the Airport from legal , <br />liabilities resulting from this activity; <br />7.8.3 Written assurance that all federal, state, and local <br />statutes, rules, and regulations will be complied with at all times; <br />and, ~'• <br />7.8.4 Written assurance that not more than forty (40) .hours of <br />flight instruction (flight time) wilt be provided in any one {1) month. <br />7.8.5 The city reserves the right to inspect the operator's <br />flight log books upon demand, with no prior notice. <br />Rules - 32 <br />
