Limited duration employees are not eligible for Career Development <br /> assistance, filing a formal Career Development Plan and may not apply for Career <br /> Development assignments. Limited duration employees may use the Career <br /> Development Library in HRRS. <br /> Career Development Assi~mnents <br /> An assignment, formally advertised as a Career Development posting, provides an <br /> employee with an opportunity to develop skills, gain knowledge, and acquire <br /> experience. Employees need to have a general background and basic skills, but do <br /> not need to possess all of the qualifications required of the specific job <br /> classification. These assignments could be located in any department across the <br /> organization. <br /> Eligibility <br /> 1. Regular full- or part-time employees who have completed their <br /> probationary periods. If an employee is in secondary probation, they must check with <br /> their supervisor before considering application for an assignment. <br /> 2. Employees must be performing at a satisfactory level in their current <br /> positions. <br /> 3. An employee may participate in only one career development assignment <br /> at a time. <br /> 4.
