The definition of family members as used in this policy is found in <br /> APPM 3-810.3. <br /> The purpose of the Leave Donation Program is, in the event of a catastrophic <br /> medical condition of an employee or family member, to provide a bridge for <br /> regular employees until the employee returns to work or qualifies for long-term <br /> disability insurance or PERS disability benefits, and to provide for the time <br /> actually necessary to care for an ill family member or to arrange for the person's <br /> .long term care.
