Stewardship Ecologist with The Nature Conservancy, 0.35 FTE funded by City of Eugene <br /> via contract. <br /> 2. Botanist GS-9 with U.S. Bureau of Land Mana ement 0.35 FTE funded b Ci of <br /> 9 Y tY <br /> Eugene. <br /> 3. Natural Resources Specialist, GS-11 with U.S. Bureau of Land Management, 0.15 FTE <br /> funded by City of Eugene. <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> The Wetlands Program Supervisor also hires and supervises a large seasonal work force (18 <br /> j seasonal staff for 5-6 months during 2003). <br /> b. Describe your responsibility as project leader.• Indicate whether the projects are ongoing, <br /> cyclical, or occasional. <br /> The Wetlands Program Supervisor not only leads multiple projects at one time, but also <br /> provides leadership, in a collaborative setting, for the interagency West Eugene Wetlands <br /> Program. <br /> The program and project leadership responsibilities of the Wetlands Program Supervisor are <br /> constant and on-going. The position is responsible for managing multiple, large, and complex <br /> wetlands capital projects with multiple partners (e.g., The Nature Conservancy, U.S. Bureau of <br /> Land Management, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Lane Council of Governments, and other <br /> City Departments) and funding sources each year. The planning and implementation of each <br /> project cover all months of the year. The position also supervises and coordinates interagency <br /> project activities including research, community contact, data analysis, and final <br /> recommendations and presentations. The position develops program goals and objectives for <br /> multi-agency partnership. <br /> The Wetlands Program Supervisor also leads the interagency efforts to build and foster positive <br /> relationships among interagency staff teams involving professional and technical staff, to <br /> articulate the artnershi 's common ur ose hel artners see common interests and benefits <br /> p p p p pp <br /> of joint efforts, and seek and advocate for integrated solutions to multi-agency challenges. <br /> 9. The Wetlands Program Supervisor duties have increased in complexity since the position <br /> was originally classified in 1999. The following discussion lists the main ways in which the <br /> position has become more complex. <br /> a. Increased role in land acquisition. Since 1999, the City has taken a much larger <br /> role in seeking funding for land acquisition and facilitating land acquisitions.
