Analysis and Problem Solving: <br /> a. Describe the types of analysis and problem solving techniques regularly required in your job. <br /> Include how specific knowledge, skills, and abilities are applied. <br /> The Wetlands Program Supervisor conducts a wide variety of analyses, including the following. <br /> 1. Analysis of multi-agency staffing levels (regular, seasonal, contract) and <br /> interagency funding for staffing, with recommendations on how to best meet wetland. <br /> program goals. This requires knowledge of the interagency wetland's program <br /> working structure; knowledge of the City's and BLM's budget and hiring practices; <br /> knowledge of policies regarding different City and BLM funding sources; ability to <br /> communicate findings effectively in writing and orally; skill and ability to forecast <br /> future work program goals and work loads; and the ability to work effectively with <br /> managers from. City and BLM to implement preferred staffing options. <br /> 2. As a supervisor of City staff, seasonal staff, and provider of work program <br /> direction for several non-City staff, the Wetlands Program Supervisor must utilize a <br /> variety of problem solving skills, including: to hire a team of capable employees to <br /> conduct the work, to prepare a work program for the team, manage work flow, solve <br /> a variety of logistical issues involved in the management of a team and its work in a <br /> variety of field and office conditions, evaluate performance, and identify and provide <br /> Position.
