DATA PROCESSING EQUIPMENT PROGRAM ASSISTANT Page 3 of 4 <br /> Minimum Requirements <br /> Experience <br /> Four years of progressively responsible clerical or technical support experience, preferably including <br /> i one year of database experience. Some purchasing experience desirable. <br /> Training <br /> High school diploma or GED. Related course work desirable. <br /> Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements maybe <br /> i .substituted. <br /> Representation <br /> ~ Employees in this classification are represented by American Federation of State, County, and <br /> Municipal Employees (AFSCME), and their salaries are subject to a monthly payroll deduction after 31 <br /> days of employment. <br /> <br /> i <br /> Salary and Benefits <br /> The normal starting salary is the first step shown on the posting. Other placement in the salary range <br /> may be considered depending on qualifications and experience. Periodic advancement through the salary <br /> range is dependent upon merit. The City provides a full range of benefits, including holidays, vacation, <br /> <br /> i sick leave, retirement benefit, and life insurance. Health, dental, and vision benefits are available. This <br /> insurance is paid in full or in part depending on number of hours worked and plan selection. Employees <br /> in some pay units are eligible for additional benefits. <br /> <br /> ~I <br /> Application Procedure <br /> You must submit an official City of Eugene application form in order to be considered for this position. <br /> Forms are available at Human Resource and Risk Services. You may fax <br /> your application materials to (541) 682-6831 by 5:00 pm on the closing date. Your originals must be <br /> submitted to Human Resource and Risk Services immediately thereafter. In addition to the application <br /> form, you are encouraged to submit a letter and/or resume with any supplemental information pertinent <br /> to the position. Applications and resumes cannot be returned; please keep a copy for yourself before <br /> submitting. In order to be considered for future openings, you must submit a new application for each <br /> position. In addition, background investigations and records checks maybe required. Some positions <br /> also require applicants to have a psychological evaluation and/or physical examination and a drug test <br /> prior to employment. Applicants selected to continue in the process will be notified within two-three <br /> weeks after the posting deadline.
