<br /> ~ Hours: This position works the following schedule: four 10-hour shifts (Monday-Thursday, 6:30 a.m.-5 p.m.),
<br /> ~ April through September; Sunday-Thursday, 6:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. (December-April, 6:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
<br /> (May-November) and works five 8-hour shifts (Monday-Friday,.? a.m.-3:30 p.m.) October-April. These
<br /> hours/days, will fluctuate depending on seasonal and operational needs.

<br /> General Statement of Duties
<br /> Organizes and performs maintenance duties and equipment operations requiring specialized skills in an area of
<br /> undeveloped park grounds, open waterways, wetlands, or natural resource maintenance. Acts as lead worker
<br /> for a maintenance crew within the Natural Resource Maintenance work unit.
<br /> Examples of Duties Performed-Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
<br /> Inspects, organizes, and performs rough mowing and grounds maintenance projects within the Natural
<br /> Resource Maintenance work unit, coordinating the mowing, hiking trail maintenance, care of trees, native
<br /> plants, and other grounds work in the natural resource areas.
<br /> Performs precision mechanical work to repair equipment, which may include metal fabrication, calibrating
<br /> equipment, and use of specialized tools and equipment.
<br /> Prioritizes maintenance projects and performs grounds maintenance work, habitat restoration, environmental
<br /> enhancements, and invasive vegetation removal.
<br /> Operates and maintains large mowing equipment, large trucks; backhoe, front-end loader, tractors, chipper, and
<br /> other construction equipment, power tools, and specialized equipment to maintain natural resource areas and
<br />
<br /> i undeveloped park grounds.
<br /> Schedules and participates in the preparation, renovation, and maintenance programs for City park land.
<br /> Oversees the preventive maintenance of equipment assigned to a crew to ensure that it is safe and in operable
<br /> condition.
<br /> Schedules and participates in the repair and maintenance of access routes, gravel roads, foot trails, bicycle
<br /> trails, and related park amenities.
<br /> Installs and maintains signs, barricades, gates, fences, and similar structures.
<br /> Ensures that proper traffic control devices and procedures are used for safe working conditions and public
<br /> safety at the job site(s).
