Analyzes employee work place. behavior in regards to efficiency, <br /> productivity, safety, and overall morale. Works with section manager in <br /> j developing goals, objectives, and strategies for particular crews/work <br /> groups. Writes reports and makes recommendations in regards to same. <br /> 10% Communicates and coordinates with HRRS staff to assist in the investigation of <br /> workers compensation claims, property damage claims, and injury related liability <br /> <br /> ~j claims. Provides assistance to supervisors by working with HRRS staff <br /> regarding employees who have a job related injury and need to work light duty <br /> jobs, or who may no longer be able to work in their previously held position. <br /> Investigates all. work related accidents involving employees of PWM and POS to <br /> j ~ assure all work related accident forms have been properly completed and routed. <br /> Assists in performing on site investigation of vehicular accidents involving <br /> Division employees; takes pictures and coordinates accident reporting with DPS <br /> staff. May recommend additional training requirements.or corrective actions to <br /> supervisors to prevent future accidents of a similar nature. Corrective action <br /> recommendations may also include the taking of a disciplinary action. Reviews <br /> minor injury logs and looks for common factors and trends that may indicate the <br /> need for more employee training. <br /> 10% Manages and directs the random drug and alcohol testing program in the <br /> division, as part of the Commercial Driver's License program. Educates <br /> employees on city policy as it relates to the program. Coordinates with <br /> supervisors and occasionally transports employees for random drug and/or <br /> alcohol testing. Maintains extensive records for divisional training completed, <br /> . individual crew and safety committee meetings, safety inspections, Commercial - <br /> Driver's License requirements, and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSj for all <br /> chemicals and supplies used b the division. Tracks accident st 's <br /> Y atl tics on <br /> individual employees and crews. Identifies hazardous materials, coordinates <br /> proper handling and storage of onsite materials, and assures proper disposal of <br /> items that meet the definition of hazardous material. Inspects and assures on- <br /> site storage facilities are being maintained in a safe manner and coordinates <br /> clean-up and corrective actions when needed. <br /> 3.
