Project Cooperation Agreement (Amendment No. 1, September 21, 2001, enclosure 2) between <br />the Department of the Army and the City of Eugene, Oregon, for Modification of Amazon Creek <br />Flood Control Channel, Amazon Creek Wetlands Restoration <br />Requesting Agency: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District <br />Servicing A encX: City of Eugene, Oregon <br />Description of Services: Under this task order the City of Eugene will construct the planned <br />recreation facilities at the project as described in the Project Cooperation Agreement (PCA, reference <br />2 above). The recreation facilities will support public access and provide environmental education <br />and interpretive opportunities in keeping with the primary wetland restoration purpose of the project <br />inclusion in a larger contract that the city is administering for the Eugene to Fern Ridge multiple <br />purpose u ail. i ne conrraci was previously awaraea ny vregon lieparrment of t ranspor[anon in <br />2001. Construction will be initiated in summer of 2002 and will continue through 2003. The city <br />will manage the construction contract and will complete construction of all facilities with Section <br />This Task Order covers work to be completed in Federal Fiscal Year (FY) 2002. A separate task <br />order will be prepared to cover work completed in FY 2003. <br />Tasks and Activities: <br />The Corps of Engineers Will: <br />1. In accordance with the cost-sharing provisions detailed in the Project Cooperation Agreement <br />(PCA), reimburse the City for the Federal share of the recreation facilities constructed by the city. <br />The Federal share is described below under "Reimbursement of Services" <br />2. Provide any additional engineering during construction that may be required for the facilities <br />previously designed by Corps staff. <br />3. Perform interim inspections (roughly twice monthly) during active construction periods. The <br />purpose of the inspections is to provide quality assurance on those facilities for which the Corps <br />will share costs. <br />1 <br />
