(Replace) The paragraph that reads "Item (e) includes sidewalk ramps." with the following <br />paragraph: <br />Item (e) includes sidewalk ramps. It also includes all work associated with applying <br />truncated domes. <br />00850.40 General <br />(Add) Request pavement marking layout from the Inspector at least five (5) business days prior <br />to planned pavement marking application. The Agency shall have a minimum of three <br />(3) business days after completion of top lift paving to layout pavement marking types <br />and locations. <br />00850.75 Warranty <br />(Replace) This sub-section with the following: <br />00850.75 Manufacturer's Warranty - Furnish a Warranty from the manufacturer signed <br />by the manufacturer's representative according to the following: <br />• Warranty Period -The warranty shall be for 18 months. <br />• Retroreflectivity -Markings shall maintain a retroreflectivity of 100 mcd/mz/Ix. <br />• Color Stability -White markings shall maintain a minimum daylight reflectance of 84. <br />• Adhesion - 5% or greater loss of marking due to non-adhesion will constitute failure. <br />The Warranty period will start on the date the Engineer issues Third Notification and <br />authorizes final payment. <br />The Warranty shall recite that the manufacturer shall repair or replace, at the discretion <br />of the Engineer and at no additional cost to the Agency, all pavement markings that drop <br />below the minimum required retroreflectivity, show insufficient color stability, or fail to <br />bond, within 6 months of the Agency's request to do so. <br />Perform Warranty repair work when weather permits. At the discretion of the Engineer, <br />temporary pavement markings may be required, at the manufacturer's expense, to <br />protect traffic until repairs can be made. <br />When the Engineer makes a written request to the manufacturer for repair or <br />replacement, the Warranty period will stop until the required repairs or replacements are <br />made and accepted. <br />00862.32 Manufacturers-Certified Installers <br />(Add) Install durable permanent pavement striping using only striping installers certified by the <br />marking materials manufacturer for the specific striping material and method. Submit <br />documentary evidence of such certification to the Engineer prior to beginning work. Do <br />not begin installation prior to receiving the Engineer's approval. <br />00862.40 General <br />Special Provisions -Job #4376 Page 16 <br />
