• Use of mechanical excavation equipment will not be permitted within 2 feet of <br />Williams Northwest Pipeline. Hand excavation in this area only. <br />Williams Northwest Pipeline to be notified in advance of all heavy equipment crossing <br />over the pipeline so that calculations can be completed to determine what measures <br />need be taken to safeguard the pipeline. Williams Northwest Pipeline may require <br />padding, mats or additional cover or other protection if the soil appears sufficiently <br />muddy, rocky, or otherwise unsafe. <br />Tracked equipment shall not spin or turn sharply while working over the Williams <br />Northwest Pipeline(s). <br />At no time will machine excavation or grading be allowed below existing grade within <br />a minimum of 5 feet of the staked location of existing pipeline(s). <br />All backhoes/trackhoes digging on or near any Williams Northwest Pipeline must <br />have side cutters removed and a bar welded across the teeth <br />• Contractor to notify Williams Northwest Pipeline representative of daily work plan, <br />early starting ,decisions to work late, unexpected changes in the day's plan or to <br />move crews to new work location. <br />No oil, fuel, gasoline or other hazardous material to be dumped on Williams <br />Northwest Pipeline Right of Way. Any accidental spill must be reported to Williams <br />Northwest Pipeline Representative immediately. The spill is to be cleaned up <br />immediately in accordance with approved spill plan. Contaminated soil, rags, etc. <br />must be stored in containers and removed for proper disposal. The contractor to <br />have on hand adequate storage drums and absorbent material to contain and clean <br />up spill(s). Any equipment leaking oil, grease, or fuel shall be repaired immediately or <br />removed from the pipeline Right of Way. <br />All water (free of contamination) from excavation should be pumped in to a proper <br />discharge structure away from Williams Northwest Pipeline Right of Way. <br />Contaminated water will not be pumped onto Williams Northwest Pipeline Right of <br />Way. <br />• City to notify Williams Northwest Pipeline representative of any changes to the <br />drawings issued. <br />• Use of mechanical tampers be limited to the following: <br />2-3 ft. from the pipeline: rollers <br />3 ft. or greater from the pipeline: rollers with vibratory action. <br />00150.55 Cooperation with Other Contractors <br />(Add) Mowat Construction Company has ongoing work occurring within and adjacent to the <br />project area under contract with the Oregon Department of Transportation. Contractor <br />shall allow access for Mowat and its subcontractors to the staging area at approximately <br />station 61+75. <br />00150.96 Warranties and Guarantees <br />(Delete) Last sentence added by Amendment #3 that begins "In addition, the Contract <br />shall provide a Contractor's...
