Access by utility personnel may be needed daily, such that <br />access shall be maintained and allowed by the Contractor throughout the work for utility <br />personnel to access this sampling port. <br />Williams Northwest Pipeline has specific requirements for working around their gas lines <br />as follows: <br />Read Williams Northwest Pipeline Developer's Handbook and Encroachment Permit <br />and comply with requirements listed on each of them. <br />Encroachment permits will be issued by Williams Northwest Pipeline and adhered to <br />prior crossing the pipeline(s). <br />Williams Northwest Pipeline may require a physical inspection of the pipeline(s) that <br />may be conducted after contractor is done working for the day <br />No excavation work over the pipeline without a Williams Northwest Pipeline <br />representative present on site including adding additional "fill" material(s) over the <br />pipeline <br />Any foreign line crossings of Williams Northwest Pipeline will need to be inspected <br />prior to backfilling (DOT Requirement) <br />No ripping in the vicinity of Williams natural gas pipeline(s). <br />It is against the law to blind boring operations will be allowed in the vicinity of Williams <br />natural gas pipeline(s). <br />Lifting straps inspected in accordance with Oregon OSHA must be used when lifting <br />loads over the natural gas pipeline(s). <br />Williams Northwest Pipeline approved backfill material of sand without rocks or other <br />material to be used over natural gas pipeline in the event of excavation uncovering <br />the pipeline. <br />Williams Northwest Pipeline is not to be left exposed at any time unless written <br />approval is obtained from Williams Northwest Pipeline personnel. <br />Williams Northwest Pipeline may require additional protection (IE. Concrete Cap over <br />pipeline, pipeline encasement) that may not be anticipated until the job is under <br />construction. <br />Trench Shoring and/or Shielding to be furnished by Williams to inspect pipeline when <br />needed <br />Williams Northwest Pipeline representative(s) requests a "prejob meeting" prior to <br />construction starting to address Williams Northwest Pipeline expectations and answer <br />any questions contractors may have about project. <br />A Williams Northwest Pipeline representative must be present for all excavation within <br />10 ft. of our pipeline(s). <br />• Use of mechanical excavation equipment limited to within 5 ft. of the pipeline with <br />Williams Northwest Pipeline representative present <br />Special Provisions -Job #4376 Page 2 <br />
