3. The Airport Manager shall have authority to take actial to safe- <br /> guard the public. Every pilot, mechanic or other person employed <br /> on the airport shall cooperate with the Airport Manager to enforce <br /> these rules and see that all persons use care and caution to pre- <br /> vent injury to persons or property damage. <br /> 4. Aircraft arriving or departing from the Eugene Municipal Airport <br /> shall be equipped with operating, properly tuned and ad3usted two- <br /> way radio. <br /> . Aircraft not so equipped may at the discretion <br /> of the Airport Manager be allowed one landing <br /> for 'the purpose of repair or installation of <br /> radio equipment, provideds (a) prior suitable <br /> arrangements have been made with the control <br /> tower, or (b) an absolute emergen cy exists of <br /> • such nature that it cannot land at another air- <br /> , port which does not require two way .radio. <br /> S. The use of the Eugene Municipal Airport for carrying on commer- <br /> vial aviation'activitiea is restricted to those persons who shr~.ll <br /> have a written agreement or permit with the City of Eugene. No <br /> person not so authorized or who is in default of an agreement, <br /> shall operate, service or repair air craft on the premises or <br /> carry on any business of any nature. <br /> 6. No aircraft shall be flown within the airport control zone in <br /> maneuvers other than those required in normal, routine operation. <br /> Special aviation events or demonstrations are not permitted on <br /> the airport. without the approval of the Federal Aviation Agency, <br /> and the written permission of the City. <br /> 7. In the event the Airport Manager believes the conditions of the <br /> airport to be unsafe for landings or take-offs, he shall isst=e a <br /> NOTAM closing the airport. <br /> SECTION VII TAXIING RULES:. <br /> 1. No person shall taxi an aircraft to or from the hanger line or to <br /> or from an approved aircraft parking space until he has determined <br /> that there will be. no danger of collision. <br /> 2. Aircraft shall not begin taxiing before receiving a clearance from <br /> the air traffic control tower. <br /> 3. Aircraft shall be taxied at a safe and reasonable speed. <br /> 1~. Aircraft shall use taxiways and paved areas when taxiing. <br /> 5. All aircraft using tY~e airport shall be equipped with adequate brakes. <br /> 6. Taxiing aircraft shall be'stopped a minimum of 150 feet or as other- <br /> <br /> - wise marked, from any active runway while waiting for take-off <br /> clearance. <br /> -6- <br /> <br />
