SECTION V APRONS <br /> 1. MOTORIZED EQUIPMENT: <br /> (a) No motorized equipment shall be operated on the loading apron <br /> or aircraft landing area except: <br /> (1) By persons assigned duty thereon. <br /> (2) By persons authorized by the Airport Management. <br /> (b) All surface vehicles operating rn the runways or taxiways are <br /> required to obtain permission from the control tower prior to <br /> driving on any runway or taxiway and will be equipped with <br /> f l a.fih~ tln 'l i Qht or approved flags. <br /> 2. CONDITIONS OF VEHICLES: A motor vehicle in an unsafe state of repair <br /> will not be allowed on the aircraft loading aprons, or on any of the <br /> other restricted areas of the airport. <br /> 3. SPEED LIMIT ON PASSENGER LOADING APRONS: Any person operating or <br /> driving a motor vehicle upon any aircraft loading apron shall drive <br /> at a~careful and prudent speed and not greater than is reasonably <br /> safe, and iri no circumstance in excess of 15 miles per hour. r <br /> 1~. EXHAUSTS: No person shall operate a tractor, truck or other motor <br /> <br /> ' vehicle without exhausts protected by screens or baffles to prevent <br /> the escape of sparks or the propagation of flame, in any hanger or <br /> ramp or apron. <br /> 5. RESPONSIBILITY OF PERSONNEL: It shall be the responsibility of the <br /> airlines and their personnel to keep the gates closed on the term- <br /> inal building apron except when necessary for the loading and un- <br /> loading of aircraft, Spectators will not be permitted on the apron <br /> unless previously cleared by the Airport Manager. <br /> 6. PARKING OF APRON EQUIPMENT: Apron equipment shall not be parked less <br /> than ten (10) feet from any fire hydrant. <br /> 7. PERSON OR PERSONS ON APRONS: No person, except airmen, duly author- <br /> ized personnel, passengers going to or from. air craft, being person- <br /> ally conducted by airmen,or airport attendants, shall be permitted <br /> to enter the landing area. The persons so excepted are confined to <br /> the necessary use in connection with fl ights, inspections or routine <br /> dude s, <br /> SECTION VI AIRCRAFT OPERATION <br /> 1. All aeronautical activities shall be conducted in conformity with <br /> the current provisions of the Federal Aviation Agency. <br /> 2. The Airport Manager, through an airport traffic controller, may <br /> suspend or restrict any or all operatiars without regard to <br /> weather conditirns whenever it is deemed mcessary in the interest <br /> of safety. <br /> -5- <br /> <br />
