EXHAUSTS: No person shall operate a tractor, truck, or other motor <br /> vehicle without exhausts protected by screens or baffles to prevent <br /> the escape of sparks or the propagation of flame, in any hangar or <br /> on any ramp or apron. <br /> 4. RESPONSIBILITY OF PERSONNEL: It shall be the responsibility of the <br /> airlines and their personnel to keep the gates closed on the terminal <br /> building apron, except when necessary for the loading and unloading <br /> of aircraft. Spectators will not be permitted on the apron unless <br /> previously cleared with the Airport Manager. <br /> 5. PARKING OF APRON EQUIPMENT: No equipment shall be parked within ten <br /> (10) feet from any fire hyrant. <br /> 6. PERSON OR PERSONS ON APRONS: No person, except airmen, duly author- <br /> ized personnel, passengers going to or from the aircraft being <br /> personally conducted by airmen or airport attendants, shall be per- <br /> mitted to enter the apron area. The persons so excepted are confined <br /> to the necessary use in connection with flights, inspections, or <br /> routine duties. <br /> SECTION VI <br /> AIRCRAFT OPERATION <br /> 1. All aeronautical activities shall be conducted in conformity with the <br /> current provisions of the Federal Aviation Administration. <br /> 2. The Airport Manager, through an airport traffic controller, may suspend <br /> or restrict any or all operations whenever it is deemed in the interest <br /> of safety. <br /> 3. The Airport Manager shall have authority to take action to safe guard <br /> the public. Every pilot, mechanic, or other person, employed on the <br /> Airport shall cooperate with the Airport Manager to enforce these rules <br /> and see that all persons use care and caution to prevent injury to <br /> persons or property damage. <br /> 4. Aircraft arriving and departing from Mahlon Sweet Field shall be <br /> equipped with operating, properly tuned, and adjusted two-way radio. <br /> Aircraft not so equipped may, at the discretion of the Airport Manager, <br /> be allowed one landing for the purpose of repair or installation of <br /> radio equipment, provided: <br /> (a) Prior arrangements have been made with the control tower. <br /> (b) An absolute emergency exists of such a nature that it cannot <br /> land at another Airport which does not require two-way radio. <br /> -9- <br /> <br />
