En ineering Division personnel draft the location and size of all known City- <br /> wned facilitie ,for which records are on file at the Engineering Division (e.g. storm and <br /> anitary sewer ,telecommunications, curbs, etc.), on each set of the plans provided by the <br /> ermittee of th proposed facility. The objectives of this <br /> valuation are o determine conformance to rules and standards affecting work within the <br /> ublic way, a d to prevent or minimize interruption of services to the public due to a <br /> ermittee unk owingly excavating and damaging City infrastructure. <br /> he Utility Ins ector will make a field review of the area for the proposed work. Special <br /> ote will be m de of any unusual or unique conditions observed in the field. Any existing special landscaping will be documented. Upon <br /> comple ion of the proposed work, the landscaping shall be returned to a condition <br /> as nea as possible to that which existed before such work began. <br /> Trees -Overhead work may conflict with a tree's branches, and underground work <br /> with th tree's roots. Trees are a valuable City resource and every effort shall be <br /> taken t avoid any damage to a tree. The Urban Forester shall be notified and <br /> reques d to comment whenever the proposed work zone fails within the critical root <br /> zone o a street tree. Special conditions for tree protection and damage prevention <br /> shall b Hated on the permit application or associated plans. <br /> Existi g Utilities -Compare the drawings provided by Engineering Division <br /> person el to what can be visually located. Note any discrepancies and verify <br /> locatio s prior to the issuance of the permit.
