Street light poles shall not be permitted in sidewalk areas unless right of way <br /> constraints pr vent the use of other options and a special exception is approved by City Staff. If <br /> poles aze to installed in a sidewalk azea, they must provide a minimum clearance of four (4) feet <br /> from either th face of the curb to the front face of the pole, or from the rear edge of the sidewalk <br /> to the reaz fac of the pole. <br /> 19. Street light poles shall be a minimum of five (5) feet horizontal from driveway aprons. <br /> 20. In residential and commercial subdivisions, street light poles shall be placed at each <br /> intersection, h "knuckle," the "throats" of cul-de-sac, and at or near dead end and temporary <br /> turnarounds. <br /> 21. Street light poles shall be located on lot lines whenever possible, so long as required <br /> illumination 1 vets and uniformity ratios can also be achieved. <br /> ~ 22. Standard design for residential subdivisions utilizes gray fiberglass poles anchored in <br /> underground leeves, and gray "cobra head" type HPS luminaires producing an IES Type II or Type <br /> <br /> I <br /> III Medium- utoff lighting pattern. <br /> 23. Street light poles shall not be located closer thantwenty-five (25) feet to street trees. <br /> 24. All street light poles shall be located in the street right-of--way. <br /> 25. Multi-phase conductors shall becolor-coded. <br /> 26. Use of the following materials shall be required: <br /> 26.1 Wiring shall be XHIiW, copper, stranded, single conductor or Type OF two <br /> cond ctor cable. If any part of the wire run is direct buried, it shall be Type OF cable. <br /> 26.2 hTon-metallic conduits shall be Schedule 40 PVC. <br /> 26.3 All conduits in concrete foundations shall be Schedule 40 rigid galvanized <br /> steel <br /> 26.4 All luminaires shall be designed for regulated type ballast. <br /> 26.5 Lamps shall behigh-pressure sodium, clear, approved for all burning positions. <br /> 26.6 Lazrnps of 150 watts or less shall be 55 volt. <br /> 26.7 Lamps of 200 watts or more shall be 100 volt. <br /> Administr 've Order - 7 <br /> C:\TEMP103sUi Ylao.wpd(07/30/03) <br /> <br />
