<br /> i <br /> Rehabilitate the Historic Depot Building <br /> The rehabilitated passenger depot will be designed to meet the functional and aesthetic requirements for a <br /> successful railroad passenger facility. The project team has coordinated with the State Historic <br /> Preservation Office and will incorporate requirements for the Americans with Disabilities Act and current <br /> building codes. The project will begin with the abatement of moderate amouxtts of hazardous materials <br /> such as lead-based paixits and various forms of asbestos. The overall goal is to improve the train station's <br /> ability to function as a modern facility that honors the area's architectural and civic heritage. <br /> WB~rS Architecture & Planning, PC, of Eugene is leading the design and historical rehabilitation of the <br /> depot. The planning and design of the depot rehabilitation project is nearing completion.
