NAIAP Review- . Staff has met with all of the active Neighborhood Boards and has recorded the feedback the groups provided. Staff is seeking to gain input from the two inactive groups. The aim is to gather feedback as to whether the action plan is clear and complete. Staff is currently compiling the feedback from the review process. Staff will seek input from the NLC about the next steps in the analysis process to ensure that the analysis meets NLC needs for transparency. • To encourage participation by those unable to attend their Board meeting, the action plan and an a-mail link was posted on the main web page for the Neighborhood Services program. See text at the end of this document. . Neighborhood Summit- Staff is partnering with a subgroup of the NLC to plan the Neighborhood Summit, which is tentatively scheduled for early February.. The collaborative planning process is working well. The team is developing a participative process that will facilitate open dialogue to work towards gaining agreement on the top action items in the NIAP. The goals of the Summit are listed below. Goals of the Summit- • Per the July NLC motion on the Neighborhood Association Initiative Update, the purpose of the Summit was to: • Get agreement on priorities among the 20+ items. • Gather ideas for next steps. This was later amended to be: Gather ideas for next steps for the top priority items. And added: • Give participants a change to review all of the feedback related to the draft action plan from the associations' Board and/or General meetings. • Provide the opportunity for Neighborhood Leaders and association members to work collaboratively with decision makers (i.e., Mayor, City Councilors, Executive Managers) in such a way that develops credibility for the role and contribution of neighborhood associations. • When the Summit is over, the majority-of people will feel that the Summit was worth their time and look forward to the next Summit.
