Last night, the driver of one of the vehicles was arrested. <br /> <br /> j Max A raham Gibson, 19, was lodged at the Lane County Jail on charges of Manslaughter in <br /> the Second D gree, and four counts of Assault in the Third Degree. Gibson was admitted to <br /> <br /> I <br /> PeaceHealth ospital after the crash and released late Tuesday evening. <br /> Gibso ,who is visiting from Los Angeles, was arrested without incident at the home of relatives <br /> at 2728 Elizab th, in Eugene. <br /> Gibso was the driver of the Chevrolet Camaro in this collision. The driver of the other vehicle, <br /> <br /> ~ 67 year-old Ja k Crisp, died from injuries sustained in the crash. <br /> <br /> i <br /> <br /> ~ Preli inuyry investigation by members of the Major Collision Investigation Unit indicates that <br /> <br /> ~ Gibson's actin s contributed to the crash. He was charged with Manslaughter in the Second Degree, an <br /> element of wh~ h includes causing the death of another in a reckless manner. The charge of Third <br /> Degree Assau t, also contains language regarding injury to another in a reckless manner. <br /> <br /> i Three people remain hospitalized in critical condition. Kyle Spurlin, grandson of the Crisp's and <br /> a passenger i the Toyota, and Jonah Friedrich, a passenger in the Camaro, are both in ICU at Peace <br /> Health Hospit I. Susanne Crisp is in critical condition at McKenzie Willamette Hospital.
