<br /> 1 ~ <br /> News Releas Summer Road Construction Projects <br /> June 3, 1999 <br /> Page 3 <br /> • Rec nstruction of Broadway from Charnelton to Lincon (City of Eugene). Work will <br /> begin in mid- une and may cause some brief delays for traffic on Charnelton and Lincoln streets. <br /> • East Bank Trail bicycle and pedestrian path (City of Eugene). No significant traffic <br /> impacts are a ticipated during construction of about a mile of bike path south of the Owosso <br /> Bridge. <br /> { <br /> • Wa tewater system repairs in the south Eugene area (generally between Lincoln Street, <br /> I <br /> Amazon Par way, 24th Place, and 39th Avenue). This City of Eugene project is being done <br /> primarily on ocal streets but may require occasional lane closures on Willamette and Donald <br /> i <br /> streets. <br /> I <br /> i <br /> ~ • Mo ernization of Beltline Road from Royal Avenue south to the railroad bridge <br /> (ODOT). T e two-year project is expected to begin in late fall and includes extending Roosevelt <br /> Boulevard fr m Beltline to Danebo Avenue. <br /> Area esidents can get updated information about these and other projects in several <br /> ways: <br /> • Cal the City of Eugene traffic relief hotline at 984-8484. Use the touch-tone <br /> commands t get information about specific projects and areas of town. <br /> i <br /> • Vis't the City of Eugene's traffic relief web site at www.ci.eugene.or.us. The City's <br /> web site als provides links to ODOT and Lane County Public Works Internet pages. <br /> <br />
