Lane <br /> County Publ c Works this week began pavement repairs on Prairie Road from Highway 99 to <br /> Carol Aven .Asphalt paving on that job is scheduled June 16-18, weather permitting. <br /> <br /> r <br /> Beginning i late June and running through mid-July, Lane County will repave the Northwest <br /> Expressway rom the Chambers overpass to north of Irvington Drive. Only one lane of traffic <br /> will be open 'n areas where asphalt is being placed, and 20-minute traffic delays are anticipated. <br /> The ity will widen and improve West 11`" Avenue from Willow Creek Road to Terry <br /> Street startin in August. The project includes installing a new signal at West 11`" and Terry. <br /> During dayti a construction hours some delays are likely; however, at least one lane will remain <br /> open in each irection at most times. <br /> Lane ounty will improve 18`" Avenue from Bertelsen Road to Willow Creek Road <br /> starting in ea ly July. That section of 18`" Avenue will be closed for several months until the <br /> road and brid e work is substantially completed. The County also will reconstruct the <br /> intersection Greenhill Road and Barger Avenue beginning in July. <br /> <br /> i <br /> Other public works projects scheduled this summer include: <br /> • Env ronmental restoration of lower Amazon Creek from Terry Street to Greenhill Road <br /> (City of Euge e in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers). Although the work <br /> won't directl affect any roadways, motorists can expect to see heavy truck traffic in the area. <br /> • Imp ovements to Terry Street from Royal Avenue to Roosevelt Boulevard (City of <br /> Eugene).
