The repairs, which use a <br /> II relatively new technology of inserting plastic liners into existing concrete pipes, will reduce the <br /> amount of groundwater leaking into the aging system. <br /> ~I <br /> ~I The City of Eugene project includes rehabilitating sewer lines and house connections to <br /> approximately 235 properties in the residential area between 25`'' and 30th avenues east of Hilyard <br /> to Baker Street. PEC Inc., of Helena, Montana, is the general contractor for the project, with <br /> excavation being done by H&J Construction of Eugene. <br /> III This year the City has budgeted approximately $4 million to repair and rehabilitate the <br /> 'ii wastewater system in various parts of Eugene. The rehabilitation program is paid for using City <br /> i <br /> funds primarily from monthly sewer user fees. - ' <br /> The company's schedule calls for work to begin the week of July 20 and be completed by <br /> early October.
