FOR IMME IATE RELEASE <br /> ~ `UP LOSE AND PERSONAL" WITH THE BIRDS OF DELTA PONDS <br /> The bi ds of Delta Ponds will be the topic of a slideshow lecture presentation on Tuesday, <br /> r <br /> j September 30 from 7-9pm sponsored by the Eugene Stream Team. Afield trip on Saturday, <br /> ' October 4 wil extend the classroom knowledge on site at the Delta Ponds. Dan and Barbara <br /> Gleason will o-lead both events which are free and open to the public. <br /> The T esday lecture will be held in the Public Works Maintenance conference room, <br /> ~ 1820 Roosev It Boulevard in west Eugene. The Saturday field trip begins at 9 a.m. followed by <br /> a cleanup wo parry at 10 a.m. Interested citizens should meet at the River Park Living Center, <br /> 425 Aiexand Loop on the west side of Goodpasture Island Road. Binoculars are useful on the <br /> bird walk. F r the work party afterwards, wear sturdy boots or shoes, gloves and dress for the <br /> weather. <br /> j Form re information, call the Eugene Stream Team at 682-4850.
