Parking for the event is available at the Bureau of Land <br /> Management' west Eugene office, 751 South Danebo. <br /> Mayor Jim Torrey and other local, state and federal officials will be joined by bicyclists, <br /> Stream Team olunteers, and others to dedicate the many benefits provided by ACE. The $3.3 <br /> million projec included widening and changing the profile of Amazon Creek between Bailey <br /> Hill Road and erry Street to allow for restoration and enhancement of the natural habitat in the <br /> stream corrido ,increasing the flood-protection capabilities of the stream, and constructing a 2.5- <br /> mile-long exte sion of the Fern Ridge Path. <br /> Dedica ion events will include a cutting a ribbon to open the new path and seeding a <br /> portion of a ne ly created wetland area with native grasses.
