The new speed zone extends from Beltline Highway to <br /> 500 feet west of Renne Street. The new posted speed is 40 mph; the posted speeds on this <br /> section had been 45 mph and 55 mph. <br /> The construction work includes the installation of a temporary traffic signal and an offset <br /> travel lane on West 11th Avenue at Willow Creek Road. The lower speed zone, combined with <br /> the temporary traffic signal, will help increase traffic safety along this section of West 11th <br /> <br /> Avenue. <br /> The temporary speed zone will begin when the signing is installed on Thursday, <br /> September 5, and will remain in effect until further notice. <br /> <br />
