F rty-two parking spaces will be added, the lighting and landscaping will be <br /> improved, an the community center parking lot will be separated from the adjacent high school <br /> I <br /> parking lot. new entry drive from Willakenzie Road will be constructed, and a portion of the <br /> median on ' lakenzie Road will be removed to provide aleft-turn lane into the community <br /> center parkin lot. <br /> Wildi h Construction will make the parking lot improvements under a $212,000 contract <br /> to be funded through the City's capital improvement program. <br /> At P tersen Park ,located in northwest Eugene off Berntzen Road, a park playground <br /> area will be onstructed. Anew concrete basketball court will be installed, and a new play area <br /> will be built ith wheelchair access and a wheelchair trail around it. The play equipment <br /> includes trad tional swings, a tire swing, and amerry-go-round. The playground design provides <br /> j space to add ahandicap-accessible play structure in the future. <br /> Aspe Spring Company will do the work at Petersen Park. Community Development <br /> <br /> I <br /> Block grant nds will be used to pay the $51,000 cost of the improvement contract. <br /> Bothi projects are scheduled to be completed this fall. <br /> <br />
