Residents are <br /> encouraged use leaves as home compost or mulch material and to bring leftover leaves to <br /> commercial ecyclers, who accept yard debris for a nominal charge. As a last resort, the Ciry <br /> will collect 1 aves if they are placed properly in the street. <br /> For ore information about composting, commercial recycling, or leaf pickups or <br /> deliveries, o to learn how to get a free brochure on Eugene's leaf recycling program, call the <br /> City's leaf h tline at 687-5383. <br /> In 1 4, Public Works Maintenance crews collected more than 19,000 cubic yards of <br /> leaves from rea streets. That's enough to fill more than 2,700 dump trucks. To encourage <br /> II, greater reus of leaves and to control program costs, the City will no longer provide a leaf <br /> drop-off site as it did in the past at Alton Baker Park. The park has been posted to remind <br /> residents dumping leaves and other debris is illegal. <br /> ~li Aro d the home, leaves can be used as mulch or compost material.
