The first phase of the project (sewer pressure main installation) will begin July 18 and <br /> end August 31, 1994. The second phase (pump station construction) will begin this <br /> September d will continue through August 1995. <br /> Phase I <br /> Div ne-Dutra Diving from Portland, Oregon was awarded the contract for the first <br /> i phase. Th $262,600 project will involve installing two sewer under the Willamette River. <br /> Constructi will begin July 15 and work will be completed by August 31, 1994. <br /> The contractor will install a 24-inch diameter and a 14-inch diameter sewer line under <br /> the Willam tte River. A trench, eight-feet-deep and ten-feet-wide, will be excavated across <br /> j the river b ttom, approximately 2,000 feet east of the I-5 bridge. The contractor will use a <br /> barge to c mplete the work in the river. Once the pipes are installed and bedded with clean, <br /> crushed ro k, the trench will be covered with the excavated materials. <br /> U der an agreement with the Willamalane Parks and Recreation District, the Alton <br /> Baker East ate Woodlands Boat Ramp on the north side of the river will be used by the <br /> contractor a staging area.
