Cycling Club <br /> will hel the city of Eugene keep its 23 miles of bicycle paths clear of <br /> litter a d vegetation. The program is called "Adopt-A-Path" and will help <br /> the city with vegetation and litter control, as well as offer citizens or <br /> organize ions an opportunity to improve local bike paths. Individuals and <br /> members f business or civic groups may adopt a section of a bicycle path to <br /> clean up. <br /> On June 20, from 1 to 4 p.m., at least a dozen G.E.A.R.S. volunteers <br /> will cut blackberry vines, pick up litter, and clean the area around the <br /> North Bank Trail, beginning at the Greenway Bike Bridge near Valley River <br /> Center an moving east. <br /> G.E. .R.S. is a local bicycle touring organization. According to Diane <br /> Bishop, c'ty of Eugene bicycle coordinator, the club approached her in March <br /> with the oncept.
